Ames Brook Campground

We just came back from a long weekend of camping at Ames Brook Campground and thought it was a lovely place. First of all we went during a Wednesday - Sunday and the first few weekdays the campground was very quiet with a lot of availability. Things picked up during the weekend and there was even a planned corn hole tournament which my husband LOVED! Our site was #39, the perfect location if you like being in the shade and near a little brook. It was level, clean and well taken care off. The rest of the campground was a mix of seasonal and transient sites. All the sites varied in sizes with some being very large and accommodating of a huge rig. The owners were very welcoming and very easy to talk to. The pool is on the small side but immaculate and perfect to cool off in. Lots of sun in the pool area so if you want a shady spot to sit go early and grab one. The public restrooms were in great shape, clean and included free showers. The location of this campground is awesome, it's right next to the NH Lakes region but also a short drive up to the White Mountains. Locally there is a Common Man restaurant and an amazing Mexican I would highly recommend, La Catrina, amazing mole if anyone likes that!! We took a drive across the Kancamangus Highway over to North Conway and back one day and had the best time. Great for family fun, relaxing and getting to know other campers. We would definitely go back again!!!

This is a very nice campground with nice amenities. Clean bathrooms and laundry room and the sites are nicely sized especially those that back up to the stream. Plenty of privacy too. Pretty area of NH with some decent shops not far from the campground. We would definitely recommend Ames Brook and would stay here again.

Such a wonderful place. Everyone was so Friendly and helpful. I left a charger and they called me to see if I wanted to pick it up. We rented the cabin, it was immaculate. Had an issue with hot water, owner was up to cabin, figured out issue, and had it fixed in no time. They texted info and times of activities. The pool was sparkling clean. It was a quiet, laid back environment.

Nice campground with great showers with plenty of water pressure. Nice little store to buy anything you may have forgotten or just need a delicious snack. We overheated at this location and everyone was super nice in trying to help. I wish we could finished our weekend here but thunderstorms scared us off after all the excitement of overheating and figuring that out. Nice site we had near the creek in the hallow. We hope to stay here again and get the hole weekend in. Thanks guys for all your help.
