This is our new favorite little diner place! You can customize a milkshake with any of their ice cream flavors. The burgers with Crispy cheese are so yummy. The staff is super friendly and have great recommendations for milkshakes. Definitely give them a try if you haven’t!

It's a 50's style restaurant that gets everything right to keep it in that style. From the setup to the the interior design to the employee uniforms. The atmosphere is extremely nice, everyone just seems so happy / friendly there. The ice cream is delicious and I highly recommend leaving room in your stomach after dinner to get some. The fried cheese is a very interesting unique item that made my cheese dog delicious in a whole other way. This isn't your 5 star gourmet meal, this is 50's American diner meal, and it's worth checking out easily, especially for ice cream.

Place is still the same as always; from the decor to the attire of the staff. The only difference that we see is that they used to give you condiments like katchup, mustard, relish and fresh cut onions in the portable trays. But, maybe because of COVID, they all changed to packets and no more onions... Still very good food and that cheese wings 😋

For many, many years, whenever passing through central Connecticut, I make sure to stop at the Shady Glen Dairy Stores. I'm always delighted that it hasn't changed a bit... and has clearly been that way for decades before I first visited.
