Years of service while a property manager led me back to Unique. I purchased a home owner warranty recently. When my AC quit working, they sent someone out after 48 hours and they wouldn’t even go up into the attic to check it out. They said it was nothing but Freon, put some in and left. 48 hours later the problem was back. Rather than call them again and get for service, I decided to go back to unique since I had a service contract with them. They came out and did a full inspection of both components, changed some parts, and the parts cost $700 including the labor. It’s also included a brand new coil valued at over $3000 which was under warranty so that cost me nothing. When this failed, not due to the coil, they came back and did further analysis. Thinking that the line set might have a leak, they came to do a test on that and before they did the test they checked everything again and found a tiny leak and a tiny wire in the outside unit where it had been bumping against something. Charles did most of this work and he was excellent. He fixed the hole in that metal line. I think it was copper. And everything has worked perfectly since. Even though it took four visits, I only paid for the one visit and the follow ups were free, including the soldering of the hole in the line. All in all I could not have asked for better service. Back to Unique forever for me!

While moving boxes I knocked the thermostat off of a perfectly fine a/c and needed it put back on. Upon accepting the appointment for $109, I expressed that the system had already been looked at and I needed someone specifically to simply place the Honeywell faceplate back on that I personally knocked off myself. Due to being an online instructor I verified whether or not I would need to plan for cash on delivery. The kind scheduler stated that an invoice would be sent to my email after service. I have been opening private schools since 2015. I am very familiar regarding the difference between a receipt and an invoice. With no background knowledge I’m told at the door that my card must be manually entered into a device, which I am not okay with. Prior to turning down the $700 thermostat repair, I was also told by the technician that I would be invoiced. I believe this, simply because I am invoiced for all services that I receive on my school campus. The ac unit that requires a drill has been left hanging open. After confirming that it is indeed the thermostat I’m told “they cannot know for sure due to never being out.” I’m curious to know if they frequent all emergency a/c callers on a regular basis? Nearly six times I am told what documents needed to be in place prior to fixing my unit. I tend not to OVERSHARE. However, I’ve been a business woman and an academic for quite some time. Nearly 24 hours awaiting a thermostat plate. Upon arrival, no results, just an air unit hanging open.

Ft Myers, Port Richey, and Sebring. My neighbor is a salesman for Unique. They installed in our home 2 complete new 16 seer units and new nest thermostats that can be controlled by an app which is pretty cool. They were reasonably priced and did the work in 1 day. Already noticing lower electric bills. Highly recommend.
