My husband recently tried this place for the first and last time. My hubby was very specific with the requested hair style and even showed pictures. The cut came in 2in shorter than asked for and the barber cut it like a mullet instead of the hair cut short in the back a slightly longer in the front. My husband has a slight stutter and he overheard someone named Jon make fun of his speech while he was speaking to another barber. Such rudeness demonstrates a lack of empathy and compassion. Look elsewhere for a decent barber and human being because you won’t find it here.

I first heard about this barber from my neighbor and decided to try him out. Turned out to be a great guy, gives me amazing haircuts every time and he can keep a conversation. I would highly recommend to any other of my friends, 5/5.

Lumani's Barber Shop is simply the best. I first visited Lumani's seven years ago for a last-minute Junior Prom cleanup cut and have been a loyal customer ever since. Going to John's before special occasions, proms, graduations, weddings, photo ops, vacations, and job interviews has become second-nature. The boost of confidence and amount of compliments I receive afterwards makes every visit as rewarding as the last. John has become not only my barber, but a great friend to me and my family. Whether it be the ambiance, incredible conversation, friendly environment, quality haircuts, time efficiency, or value-for-the-money, you simply can't go wrong visiting Lumani's Barber Shop.

It's a shame to have to leave this review. This place came very highly rated by my co-worker and many others clearly. I told him that going in, so you think he'd try his hardest. I guess not. I asked if he took card, and I completely understand why at a barber shop it may not be ideal. But I couldn't help but feel the entire time he neglected to give me a proper haircut due to this. There's a difference between a fast and an efficient haircut. He clearly rushed my haircut. Unfortunately my chair was pointed away from the mirror so I couldn't see what was going on, but when he faded like I requested, I asked if he could additionally take an inch or two off the top. Literally only 20 seconds later he apparently finished and I'm left with a mediocre haircut. The place is nice, and it's what I was looking for a barber shop/escape for men. However due to the rude unwelcoming feeling that was bestowed on me, I am never coming back. You trust someone to cut your hair you should be treated nicely and not like an inconvenience like this guy did. It's really too bad, because I REALLY want to like this place.
