Jamie was absolutely fabulous! She asked what I wanted (big change) and miraculously made it happen! Great change after my move South 8 months ago! Thank you 😊

I have been coming to New Identities since 2015. My first stylist moved and I was worried about who was going to cut my very short hair correctly. She referred me to “John” and said he would take care of me. Well she couldn’t have been more right!!! He has been cutting my hair for approx 3 yrs now and I couldn’t be more happy!! John works with me and my appts and knows just what to do when I sit down. Go see John he is wonderful and plus he is a firefighter so he saves lives and your hair for a living ❤️😬

➡️ SUMMARY ⬅️ (appointment: December 21 @11am) 🔻Went to get an IN PERSON quote 🔻 Hairstylist tried to get me to do half of the treatment for same price. 🔻Proceeds to ask for original quote and says: “Sorry apparently I underquoted you” and waited to see if I was ok paying more. 🔻Since she honored the original price she decided to change original touch up quote from $69 to $209 🤯 🔻 Ended up with Demi/Semi hair tint instead of regular Blue Black hair dye and stained clothing, nails, shower and pillow. 🔻by wash #3 I have patchy green hair…😓 ➡️ DETAILED STORY ⬅️ I went in person to get a quote for my hair and decided with hairstylist on doing blue black hair since it matched my lifestyle and wash routine better than a red balayage to avoid quick fade away. On the day of the appointment (mid hair treatment) she tries to convince me that just doing the first round of black is better than adding the second round of blue, so apparently no “BLUE” for the “BLUE Black” hair🤔 (at this point I think my hair is turning up to be more challenging than she expected after quoting me in person). Not only that, but as soon as I said that I wanted the blue round, hence, the blue black hair I went there for…she asked me if I still had the paper where she wrote the quote and when I showed it to her she said: “ Oh! Apparently I underquoted you” and had intentions of changing her original quote then and there. She decided to honor the quote but then proceeded to tell me that the quote for the touch ups would change from $69 to $209 🤯 because of the blue tint. She finished and I was left with a messy blue scalp that 3 people asked me how did they let me out of a professional salon like that. It didn’t bother me that much, I knew it would come out in my first wash and boy was I right. Not only did my scalp got rid of the blue but also my entire blue “dye” left my hair in the first wash. At this point I stained my shirts, towel, pillow case, white shower tiles and nails. When I contacted her she tells me that she decide to go with a “Demi/Semi tint” and not the permanent one like I asked in the first place. Today was only wash #3 and I have patchy green-yellow hair. Needless to say that I cancelled my February 8th @2pm touch up appointment. ➡️ UPDATE ⬅️ Ended up buying Blue Black permanent hair dye (like I asked in the first place) at a beauty salon supply store and know I have my Blue Black hair ☺️ No more staining

I believe they do accept a few walk-ins if there is someone available. But for the most part, yes you really should have an appointment.
