Nice, but short, trail along the Owasco inlet. Clear signs of beaver activity, great holes to fish in, and a beautiful view of the lake.

This is perhaps the only public space that offers a nice view of the Owasco Lake from its southern side. I am pleasantly surprised that the lake doesn't turn grey when it is raining. Instead, it is tinged with a light turquoise blue hue. However, it is quite unsettling to drive half a mile over a narrow unpaved gravel road to reach the vintage point (especially if you don't drive a bigger vehicle like a jeep or a truck). You could park the car right on the lake, that is, if you are not worried about the potential damage to tires and suspension. Moral of the story - use the parking lot on the side of the main road.
