Interesting place to cross country ski. Had to break trail on the electric loop, through brush, often wondering if I had lost the trail. It was, however, well marked. If you like bushwhacking, this is the place for you.

Trails are always beautiful. Many were very overgrown and without a machete nearly impossible to pass.

Snowshoed the Oak Rim Trail in mid February. The trail was relatively easy going and well marked. Most of the trail runs along the edge of Inman Gulf providing many good views of river and the waterfalls. Good for a quick day trip. The Oak Rim trailhead/parking area is accessible from Williams Road. However, it is a minimum maintenance road, so it is not plowed in the winter time. After snowfall, Williams Road turns into a snowmobile trail, so you will have to park near the intersection of Williams and Route 177 and walk in to the trailhead (approx. 600 ft) if you want to snowshoe it.

I believe trails are closed in that timeframe due to the hunting season.

How far is the walk to the waterfall?
