Very professional company. I've done business with many auction houses as well as ebay. Great Collections is a great way to buy or sell your coins. The most important aspect of GC to me is the incredible service. I am so tired of modern businesses providing horrible service. It's almost expected today. For example, try and pay for a coin with a credit card at Heritage. It's absolutely ridiculous to me that Heritage doesn't accept credit cards, also irritating is the misleading verbiage regarding making offers to buyers of previous sales. I've fallen into that trap a few times. Plain deception in my opinion. In my last experience selling with Great Collections I mailed my coins to GC but received no confirmation that the coins were received. I emailed the company and was amazed to get a return email on a Saturday from the president of the company Ian. He assured me that the coins did arrive safely and that I had mistakenly turned off the email communication tab on my account. He turned it back on and all was well. Can you imagine Heritage sending an email on the weekend? Good luck. Service is king for me, even if it costs a bit more. My coins sold for an above average price and were marketed well on the GC website. The check for the proceeds was mailed in a timely manner. Don't hesitate to use Great Collections, a great company in my opinion.

I have been dealing with Ian @ Great Collections for several years. I must say that they are great to deal with and their staff has always treated me with the utmost courtesy. I think his business model works well and I prefer to consign my items to him as opposed to the competition. Turnaround on settlements is quick and their website gets a lot of attention, which results in very active bidding. Top notch people and top notch service!

Not the place to sell your coins as a Seller! Will Never send my Coins and do business with them again. They sold my coins for netting average of $3 per coin when I could had sold them myself for more than $3. Maybe buyers if any, but I think they buy the coin internally so My Lost! Which was hundreds of dollars possibly even thousands of dollars with my unique coins. Anyone how to file a legal complaint without incurring high legal fees?

Is there a market value for a 1911 D $5 gold Indian, graded by PCGS AU damaged? It came to me in a PCG holder graded 62 with no damage stated. Clearly, upon close inspection, some foolish person tried to improve the lower feather by reingraving.

Yes - still something we can auction for you. Likely value in the $1000-$2000 range.

1776-1976 proof 1/2 dollar Kennedy value? 1776-1976 proof $1 Ike dollar value?

Guadalupe Aguirre | Apr 25, 2022
GreatCollections Coin Auctions | Apr 25, 2022

Most 1976 Kennedy Half Dollars and Ike Dollars are fairly low value, and would not make sense to grade (taking into account the grading cost). A very small percentage might be worth grading, if in exceptional condition.

1984 dime no m/m what's it worth?

gerald wellman | Feb 24, 2022
GreatCollections Coin Auctions | Feb 24, 2022

Hi Gerald, unfortunately, this has no numismatic value if it was found in circulation. More than likely the die was a little worn, or the circulation has caused the mint mark to wear off. To be sure, I recommend taking to local coin shops and get a few different opinions.

Ian Russell | Aug 24, 2018

Hi Sandy - thank you for your business. Yes - you can always send in more consignments - if they are certified - use the certified coin consignment form. If raw, please use the raw consignment form. If raw and you are unsure whether they are suitable to grade, please e-mail GreatCollections with a list of the coins to review prior to consigning them.
