was pulled over about 2 years ago by el segundo police with there guns drawn for no reason other then them suspecting my car was stolen and they wouldnt stop pointing ther guns at me until they made my throw my car keys on the windshield.. they let me go once i told them i boughr tue car a few days ago from a person who removed the plates

I love ESPD and the town I am lucky to call home, El Segundo. Every single incident with the ESPD has been one that I expected, as long as I am not hiding something, there is nothing to worry about. I got pulled over once for some speeding in front of high school, cop warned me, in fact every time I’ve been pulled over it’s been a warning except street cleaning day 😳. Yeah I admit they can be aggressive with out-of-towner’s but, as a resident that makes me feel good, just as I know not to walk around a neighborhood I do not live in and would expect worse things than the cops in other neighborhoods. Also for those who are complaining about the tiniest little things that ruin your day.... get over it. They have a huge job in very few hands. I wouldn’t want to be an ESPD as they get a lot of unnecessary harassment, sometimes from the locals, the very people who expects ESPD to hurry to their house if there is an emergency. Until you go through an actual emergency, until you’ve spoken to an ESPD officer heart-to-heart, and until you thank the people who are there to protect you, just quit the harassment and pray you never need them. I remember my D.A.R.E. I believe it was Officer Rosen (spelling?) and Officer Smith, he is cool I always seen him around when I was younger and Officer Smith was always good to me as a kid which gave me a good impression of the department growing up. Even when pulled over for a flat tire or just checking car doors, I’ve had been offered help by a passing Officer many times. Stay Safe all Police Officers and Thank You for your Service around the country.

My car was broken into and two ESPD officers promptly responded. They were professional, friendly, and went out of their way to serve... even helping to clean out broken glass so the car was safe to drive. Grateful to our police officers and their commitment to serving the public with diligence and compassion.
