The Cabins at Hobson Farms

Stayed in Family Cabin. The photos look better than reality. There is no space indoors for dining or living room. There was mold all over the ceiling in the bathroom. The whole cabin smelled, my husband said it smelled like wet dog. There was a gumwrapper, an old coffee filter and a half inch of water sitting in the back of the coffee maker. Who knows how long it sat. We actually left after 1 night. Another thing, the approach to the cabin is downright creepy. There is no care of weeds. Garbage and vehicles with tarps. The tractor collection was a joke. Most are sitting covered with random farm junk. Rustic is one thing. Their website promised better than average accommodations. Huge beware of dog sign on the creepiest run down shed cobbled together fencing. If we needed to beware of a dog kept there, there’s no way it wouldn’t get out.

We were very disappointed with our stay at the Hobson Farms Guest house. We stayed at the end of December and the owners were clearly not prepared for us as the heat was not on in the house when we arrived and the temperature was 48 degrees F in the house! They spent the next few hours trying to fix the heat. By the evening it was room temperature, but then in the middle of the night the heater turned off and we were freezing again. None of the TVs in the house worked, there was no Internet or cell reception, we actually had to drive down the road just to make a phone call. After we complained, the owner apologized and offered to refund us half of our money, but after texting and e-mailing multiple times, we have not received a response, or a refund. Terrible business, very unprofessional!

Friendly owners, and the place was much more modern than expected. I got the cabin with a king bed, bathroom, microwave and mini fridge, albeit no kitchen but with an outdoor charcoal grill and campfire it was perfect, plus they allowed pets. A side note if you have tmobile or sprint you will have no service....absolutely none, thank god my husband had Verizon. Anyway will definetly stay again!
