The Baird Farm tour is GREAT for anyone who wants to learn about the real inner workings of a maple syrup farm! Jenna gave our tour, telling us the history of Baird Farm while strolling with us (and Mavis, the Sugar Dog) down to a small grove of sugar maples strung with sap collection apparatus. Jenna explained in detail how the trees were tapped, monitored, how the sap was collected, stored and transported to the "sugar shack", which was the next stop on the tour. We had just missed production season, but it was really interesting to see all of the equipment required to make maple syrup. We learned how the season's harvest is impacted by weather, wildlife (pesky squirrels), and the skill of the people tapping the trees. We also learned how much sap it takes to make one gallon of syrup, and how many trees it takes to make the thousands of gallons of sap they collect every year (hint: it's a LOT). We briefly met Bob and Jacob too -both very kind and hospitable! And of course we ended up having a tasting before buying more syrup than we could fit in our luggage. Wonderful experience, great people, delicious syrup! Highly recommend!

Our Family were visiting VT and searching which farm produced the tastiest maple syrup. Without question many local retail and eateries in town suggested Baird farms. We were hoping to visit the farm and meet Jenna and Jacob, but a foot of snow fall the day prior, placed a dent in our plans. We called to order our syrup and Jenna was very considerate and thorough with our purchase. When we received our order in the mail, which came with a personalized gift card, our family felt instantly connected to the Baird’s. Plus the maple syrup is delicious! Definitely a destination point for my family and I to visit when returning to VT! Thank you Baird farm.

We were traveling through the northeast and made an impromptu decision to visit The Baird Farm. Boy were we glad that we did! Jenna was gracious to accommodate us at the last minute and we joined one of their tours. What a privilege to explore and learn about the history of this 100 year old family farm and enterprise. Everything you could want to know about maple syrup. Jacob was also very knowledgeable and they both patiently answered all our questions. They have a great selection of maple products and offered convenient shipping to our home state. The recipes that were sent in our shipment included were delicious. Thank you Jenna and Jacob! We highly recommend that folks take a tour with you and purchase some of your delicious products!

If you want to learn all about maple syrup production and see how it goes from the tree to the bottle you need to come here. The owners love what they do and love to show others what they do. Ask all the questions you want and you will get knowledgeable answers. At the end when you are tasting the maple syrup they explain the flavors and why it tastes the way it tastes. They have 6 varieties of syrup to include mint infused maple syrup and it tastes awesome too. You can't go wrong spending time here. Also leaving with some of the syrup is great as well. Smoked maple Sriracha sauce is available too and it has such a great taste I bought that too. They offer sales via online and of you are visiting and can't fit the jigs into your luggage they can ship it to you. This was a highlight of my trip to Vermont all because of the Baird Family!!! Thanks for the apple to eat on the tour 😀
