Best friends to all animals in need. I love this place. One of the few that truly care for our animal friends.

This placed used to be the best place ever!! I used to volunteer there as a kid and even adopted my dog from there! It was such a special place. But they remodeled and it's much bigger and different. But I also noticed a bit of a change in atmosphere. Whoever runs the place isn't very warm.. I didn't feel welcome by the other people who worked there pretty much every time I've gone in. They are either snarky, force you to sign in like they are the police or something and they won't even let you pet or play with he poor animals locked in glass cages. Hope that they can find more kind helpers and better policies who have good Human customer service as well. They also make it impossible to play with the animals since I have tried multiple times to get on their volunteer list but it's always too full. Feels like you need to be in some kind of elitest "club" in order to just offer some help to the animals. Basically make it hard for good warm hearted helper and volunteers to even get a shot. Doesn't seem right or fair.. maybe you can have some other events with the pups so they can get walks and outings more often and have more volunteer opportunities for those who are interested.

They are amazing! The place is clean and neat. You can really tell they love what they’re doing and they care for all their animals. I adopted a kitty two months ago. It was a great experience. They asked me some questions to make sure the kitty would be going to an appropriate environment and gave me some time to play with and establish the bound. The kitty came with a the shots, already neutered, microchipped, and they also gave me a huge bag of food! Strongly recommended.

I love Pets in Need because they love (unconditionally) and believe in saving animals. I have been fortunate enough to work with them as an adoptee. They are compassionate, affectionate, professional and knowledgeable. And they had my forever baby...thanks so much Pets in Need and a special thanks to those who financially support this amazing organization. ❤

how too yung to walk
They have a web site where you can view the dogs that they have up for adoption.
Do you still have them?
I don't believe they have one but you could always contact them by phone and check.
The place you adopted your cat should have the paperwork
Go to the website and click on "Becoming a Volunteer." At the moment, they don't need any more shelter volunteers but there are other volunteer opportunities. Email the volunteer manager. https://www.petsinneed.org/becoming-a-volunteer/
Yes! Become a volunteer (6 month commitment). You'll spend about 2 hours in training, and then get right to cuddling kitties or walking dogs. I'm a volunteer myself and love it!
If you have a disabled person in your family. They can take them to any SPCA and can work out a payment plan. Or maybe a GO FUND ME ACCOUNT. Where animal lovers can directly donate money to the veterinarian who will be doing the surgery. I hope this helps. Much love. ♡
I’m not sure if this helps but Adopting an animal, cat or dog, regardless of breed saves an animal’s life, frees up room in the pet sanctuary, And discourages people from illegally breeding animals for money when there are so many around the world that are euthanized because they have no homes. Please Consider adopting non-specific breeds as they are all wonderful. Thanks for listening to my two cents and good luck finding your pet!
Check their website
Hi there! Any lost or stray animals found in Redwood City, or anywhere else in San Mateo County, should be taken to Peninsula Humane Society. https://phs-spca.org/arc/
I am not sure, but they have a phone number and email I believe!
Adoptions can be done completely virtually or in-person by appointment. If you would like to take the in-person route, please fill out an adoption application for the animal you're interested and indicate you would like an in-person meet-and-greet. After our adoption specialists review your application, they will contact you to set up an appointment. At this time, we are not conducting any walk-in visits without appointment.
Yes, we do take pet food donations. To minimize possible virus transmission, we are asking members of the community to leave any food and supply donations right outside of our shelter entrances. Donations can be dropped off anytime during business hours. Our hours can be found at www.petsinneed.org/contact-us After you drop off the donation, our staff will bring the items into our shelter.
I am just a volunteer, but Pets in need always need pet supplies. You should contact them directly they are a wonderful organization.
Yes, go over and visit with all the great cats, the staff is friendly and helpful.
According to their website, you can volunteer if you're 16 or older. https://www.petsinneed.org/pavolunteer
I'm sorry I dont believe Pers In Need.will be able to help with that. However, give them.a call as they may be able to refer you to someone who can help. You can reach them at www.petsinneed.org
can voluentires walk dogs or even feed them sorry for my spellling
They have a foster program which is two to three weeks only. They don't want you to adopt. Go talk to them. You can learn more.
sosso sad i rather to be homeless than drop my an animal
From what I remember, their website shows dogs and cats including puppies and kittens available for adoption. This is a great place!
I know they usually have smaller dogs, but I know they have some medium. I would check the website for available dogs or call in.
Maybe the humane society?
I believe the Pets In Need policy is to not take animals from the public. You would need to try 9Lives Foundation in Redwood City or Companions in Waiting in Half Moon Bay. Good luck to you!
