Great place for kids to skate. All the people there are none and they are always helping eachother get better.

Park is closed with a fence and lock now. I heard they are waiting on a new insurance policy due to an unfortunate accident involving a kid riding alone without a helmet.

It was closed Sunday, though several skaters there until security/police officer asked everyone to clear out. Stated it was closed due to an insurance issue
Repairs, maintenance, and some idiot spray painted a ledge which needs to be cleaned now.
Varrish Robinson, Through advocating for a skatepark anything is possible. I would start by forming a group of interested kids and parents and speaking to local government. Reach out to the Tony Hawk Foundation, they can supply you with the Skatepark Guide.
