while the newly renovated Black Olive looked promising, our party was disappointed after dining in. Our server was a pro... and that was their one redeeming factor. Anyway, expect to pay fine dining prices, without the culinary creativity, hospitality, or atmosphere one would expect when paying those prices. I don't know about you, but when I'm dropping more than $50 a head.. things better be perfect.

The restuarant has been remodeled ND expanded. The changes are nice. It seems like the place is under new ownership and there is a new menu. So.e of our favorite items are no longer available. The food tasted slightly different, so maybe new recipes or the recipes have been altered.p0

1 word. WOW! New owners and what a difference. We had 2 dinners and an app and dessert... Wow.... I had Youvetsi it is a lamb shank osombuco with a red sauce it was amazing. My wife had Yemistes stuffed pepper tomato and zucchini, it was as good as my mom made in fact it was so much like my mom's cooking I was taken back to my childhood. We also had galactobutico I am sure I spelled it wrong lol. It is a custard and philo dough that was by far the best I have ever had. We met the new owner Penny who said everything is home made and she and the chef prep everything there no store bought or frozen anything. The place was spotless friendly staff and welcoming space. So happy we finally have an outstanding Greek restaurant in south jersey. We will definitely be back.

Ok, the place has a nice ambience. I enjoyed the octopus. We had a Hispanic man serving us and he’s very nice and cordial. However, I believe that the person who wears the chefs outfit that goes around the restaurant is the owner/manager. The way he walks and talks to employees seems to me that he has the authority. The issue was, is that he engaged and have a little chat with all the customers except us. For some reason he made eye contact with me and my wife but, never approached us. It felt weird because we’re the only minority customer in the restaurant. I don’t really care much about, but my wife is upset about it. If you’re on a restaurant business please make sure that you engaged with your customers regardless of what race, creed, religion or color it is.
