After not having Armando's for a couple of months, we returned after visiting my Comadre Irene's place of rest,( Forest Lawn Covina Hills Cemetery ) for today is her birthday, 7-7-66. , it was just okay. The Carnitas were a little hard ,but everything else was satisfactory. The wait was not too long and service was good, out lady server was nice and informative. . Although, I'll have to admit not the same business as it was on Valley Blvd in San Gabriel. The gentleman at the Valley spot were outgoing, entertaining and spoke to us like they were friends, made us feel as of importance. They are located on Garvey Ave just a few blocks East of Rosemead Blvd in So. El Monte on the left side heading East on Garvey Ave. I do not recommendation this place if you're a picky person. It's just okay.

Must go place...food is very tasty....Muy Bueno! From the outside doesnt look like much, but the locals love this place. The people running this restaurant have nice smiles and friendly service. I will be back.

Neighborhood place with a great menu. The attentive, friendly staff put you at ease, which help make this place so cozy. I must return for their Gigantic Colossal Humongous over-sized Burrito! The freshly made tostadas and delicious Salsa will have me return for more eats.

Great service and great food. Jonathan was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the lengua and al pastor tacos, both of which were delicious. The portions were generous as well. A great experience, I would recommend Armando's if you're looking for great Mexican food at a reasonable price.

Noo I went there tonight and there's a sing on the door that says they moved to South El monte..
The said they moved to Garvey and Chico in el Monte but I drove over there and they are no where to be found..it's been weeks now and no one can find them..the address they gave give a sketchy looking stop mall that has a taco truck in the parking lot and the location already has another Mexican restaurant..not sure it's a great spot to put a restaurant with a competing business but either way their not there..I wonder if they gave up and just closed..
My last visit was not that wasn't yes the food has changed over the years I'm sure there's different Cooks now and the place is in dire need of a clean up it looks pretty shabby from the inside and the outside last time I sat there there was a rain leak in water coming through the ceiling so I haven't gone back sorry
I know they have Happy Hours time I think but not sure 3 to 7.
