I was a member for several years before the pandemic, canceled and just joined again after a year and a half. They were nice enough to honor my old contract. Front desk staff is friendly and equipment is not terrible for the monthly price. Not the best gym I’ve been to, but it gets the job done for a neighborhood gym in Manayunk. I would recommend to a friend to be able to hit the weights within walking distance of most of the Yunk.

I really enjoy this gym. It has good amenities despite being a smaller gym. I love that classes are included in the membership. I use one of the workout rooms when classes aren't in session and it's so great to have a quiet place to do my thing

I recently moved to Manayunk for grad school. And I started going to all the small yoga and spin boutique gyms. But unfortunately being a student my funds are a bit tight. And I cant afford to pay boutique prices. Here at Sweat I am able to get classes included with my membership, and the instructors/ classes are just as good, if not better.

When I signed up a year ago they had a bunch of group fitness classes to choose from and now they barely have any to choose from, maybe a few a week. I will say my experience with this gym in the beginning was good and now it is the complete opposite. For the past 4-5 months mostly everyone of my visits I have used a treadmill where it has shut down completely or froze for minutes and it only being 10 minutes of being used. I have told the front desk, emailed, and called and no one seems to care or put a manager on the phone so that I can explain the situation. The gym isn’t clean and you can tell there is no money or care put into it. Things are broken and not replaced. When you go to a gym you want a positive and motivating experience and this has definitely not been it for me here since at least April. I am glad my contract is over shortly.
