I booked this place due to location and price. My boyfriend was nervous due to reviews, working in customer service Ive learned you cant always trust reviews, if you have a good experience youre more likely to just move on but a bad experience youre most likely to leave a review. We stayed 3 nights over Memorial Day weekend and had no issues. There is no hot tub like the website photos show but due to reviews we knew this going in, the pool was nice, water was clean and warm. The elevator is broken with a note stating due to parts shortage, so cant blame them for that. The hotel is only 2 floors so not a big issue. Our room was nice and clean the tub may have had a hole in it at one point it looked to be patched up and creaked when stepped on but no big deal, the water was hot the pressure was amazing. They also provided breakfast which consisted of waffles danishes, bagels, cereals, breads and yogurts. I honestly have no real complaints. This place isnt a $500 a night price so you cant expect it to be one. We will most likely stay here again.

Elevator was broken and the man at the front desk didn't tell us. We had to find out ourselves. Toilet was clogged and no maintenance person was on shift and it was only 9:30 pm. Although the lady at the front desk took great care of us, she had to leave the front desk unattended to do so The room did not have a smoke alarm. It was disconnected and I can only assume it was stolen or never replaced. Furthermore, the room phone did not work. I could not call down to the front desk. Our bill for the 2 night stay was $375, and I do not believe my family and I got our money's worth. Sadly, I will be returning nor recommending anyone to this establishment.

I wish I would have read these reviews before booking this Quality Inn on York Rd in Gettysburg, PA. I've never stayed at a hotel reeking of cigarettes. There are cigarette burn mark on the bathtub which is disturbing..The room is not very clean, there were food stains on the moulding/ walls. I had a mask on in the lobby but it somewhat smelled of mold though I can't be sure.. Actually the next day checking out noticed contractors taking out huge rolls of carpeting, apparently from water damage. I think this is a health violation as mold we all know is toxic and very harmful to the young and old..The hotel should have closed while replacing the carpeting and made sure there is no mold in the air.. My son goes to a college in town and I have stayed at Days Inn next door which is an acceptable hotel but I will not stay here again.

The Good: Our room appeared clean and smelled decent. The pillows were fluffy and comfortable. Lots of hot water in the shower. The Bad: The bed was worn out and sagged in the middle. The carpet wasn't clean and I would not recommend walking barefoot. Our bathroom was worn out with a broken drain plug and peeling wallpaper. There is no breakfast available, just coffee. They turn off the juice because the long term people abuse it and fill up thermoses of juice. The Ugly: There are long term renters there that are the equivalent of squatters. They are loud, smoking in the rooms, and have people in and out of the rooms all night. They loiter by the doors smoking and give you mean mugs walking in. Our room was 128 and on nights 3 and 4 we had people above us. Every single step they took AND every time they sat or moved on their bed would make a loud screeching noise in our room. After night 3 I was assured nobody would be above us but we got back late on night 4 and SCREECH. Our last morning there was nobody at the desk at 6:15 AM, just a sign that the desk would reopen at 6am. No desk = no coffee. By 7am somebody was in and had coffee going. On our last morning, getting ready to leave we had a bug on the wall above the sink. It scurried up the wall into the ceiling. Yikes! I cannot identify but any bug in a hotel room is disgusting. This is not a hotel for travelers or vacationers. It is a squatting spot for locals who have nowhere else to go.
