My father has been a mechanic all of my life, so I grew up in and around dealerships, making me quite familiar with their inner-workings. In all my years, I've never encountered such deplorable customer service as I have with Jaguar Land Rover Newport Beach. Phone calls, voicemails, emails, and text messages all go unanswered. Service has to be repeated multiple times to achieve resolution. And parts go unordered for months at a time. The only saving grace and shining star on their staff is service advisor Peter, who's been a gem to work with, and who's helped maintain my sanity. Were it not for Peter, I would find another way to have my Jaguar serviced.

Trying to buy a car and negotiate, apparently Gustavo does not want the business for the dealership. Gustavo not female friendly and very condescending. Thanks but no thanks. Oh well off to Carvana I go to buy my dream Fpace. Much more transparency and respect for my intelligence.

My experience was great at Newport Beach. My agent was friendly, not pushy, listened to what I was looking for, and helped me find the right car for my needs. Everyone was very helpful and I wasn’t even going to buy anything, only shopping around but I found the right car at the right price. Overall wonderful experience!

I purchased an F Type R from Newport Beach Jaguar Land Rover (NBJL) in February, and am writing this review so that I may recount my experience, which fell short of meeting reasonable expectations. The car was listed for sale on the NBJL website, and I placed a call to discuss the car. My call was handled promptly and all questions were appropriately answered. I am from NJ, so I asked about shipping the vehicle, and was told that it would not be a problem, we do this all the time. The car was advertised with 796 miles on the odometer. I was told that this was a dealer executive car, and was in excellent condition. No mention of any cosmetic defects was made. I paid a deposit for the sale on February 2, 2018, and we began to make arrangements for the car to be sold and shipped to NJ. The NBJL sales associate I worked with was Lalit Hemrajani. The car arrived in NJ on February 15, but because of scheduling arrangements, I was not able to retrieve the car until February 19. Since 2/19 was a holiday, the car could not be delivered to my home. Instead I went to the shipping holding area to retrieve the car and drive it home myself. The accompanying photos amply illustrate the condition of the car upon delivery. In addition to the cosmetic damage to the car’s finish, there were 12 accumulated miles on the car’s odometer, which have not been accounted for. The odometer mileage on 2/2/18 was 796; when I received it on 2/19/18, the mileage was 802. I don’t know how or why the car was driven 12 miles to load it on a trailer, but that seems excessive to me. I immediately placed a call to NBJL, and spoke with management, Scott McCloud specifically. Mr. McCloud apologized for the condition of the car, and confirmed that it should have not been shipped via open carrier. I was told to accept delivery of the car and make arrangements to have the car cleaned up and make any necessary cosmetic repairs. I was assured in writing via email that NBJL would cover the expenses of the work. Mr. McCloud even mentioned that the car had scratches in the paint when I purchased the car, but I argued that no such defects were disclosed to me at the time of purchase, and I told him that he was not being completely honest with me. The restorative work was completed on 3/9/18. The total costs for the restorative work were $1,739.40 (which included $300.00 to return the car to my home via closed transport). In addition to this amount, I requested reimbursement for a wheel lock key that was not provided to me; the key was required to remove the wheels so that the wheels and wheel wells could be properly cleaned; the key was an additional $32.25. I presented the invoices to Mr. McCloud on 3/15/18 for his review and reimbursement of the work required to clean up the damage the car incurred from open transport across the country during winter months. I also did not receive a spare key with the car, and the rear hatch tonneau cover was missing. I’ve asked for these two items to be replaced. The invoices were re-submitted to Mr. McCloud on 3/27/18 at his request, because his email system was purged and he lost the invoices. I followed up with Mr. McCloud on 4/7/18, 4/10/18, and 4/19/18. As of today, 4/25, I have not received reimbursement for the corrective work required to repair the car I purchased with fewer than 800 miles! Overall I am happy with the car, but will not recommend this dealership for Internet sales. The attention to detail that is expected when purchasing a luxury car of this type was missing from this dealership. Shipping was substandard and their lack of accountability is appalling. I purchased the car for approximately $84,000, and for them to ignore my reimbursement request is disappointing. With the availability of so many other dealerships, I would avoid NBJL for any internet-related sales.
