Dinner was good last night. I had the garlic burger which I love does in a little yellow mustard to cut the richness is the garlic sauce on it and it's so good. The drive thru was a little slow the girl working it was nice

The new-look Steak 'n Shake. No servers, now replaced by order and pay kiosks. You pick-up your own food and utilize a drink dispenser. No longer any condiment or napkin s on the table... if you want it, you get up and go ask for it. The streamlined operations means limited employees and a barren environment. Sad to see compared to memories of years past. With respect to food, I don't think the steak burger was as tasty but acceptable. The shoestring fries are still used. The chocolate shake remains the highlight of the meal and I was glad to see that environmentally friendly large paper straws are now being used. It is well known that Steak 'n Shake has struggled over the past few years, closing many stores. I hope they find their footing to remain a player in the fast food world.

Ordered online, took my money, just to find out the store was closed due to short staff. Cool story. Now I'm out $40 until I can get ahold of someone. Pay your people better and you'll get better employees who actually stay to work their shift. Angry is an understatement. If I could give zero stars I would. This is ridiculous.

Steak n' Shake used to be somewhere between fast food & your average American diner in terms of quality. After dining here today with their soupy, inedible chili and kiosks advertising things for purchase that don't exist (coffee), it looks like they've tanked below a fast food burger joint. I'll probably never eat here again. Sad.
