We moved to the area recently. We were looking for a good vet and then, unexpectedly, we were forced into getting one. Our GSD received a nasty wound to his tail. I honestly thought it would have to be removed. AAH has been open and honest about my dog’s health and what needs done. I was impressed with the cleanliness, friendliness, and honesty that I got my other pets appointments to get setup there. Side note…I knew I needed to clean my GSD’s ears but he was in pain already and I didn’t want to make it worse. I got him home after a dressing change to realize AAH cleaned his ears while he was sedated. Those steps make you realize they care about the animal, not just the money.

I was in town form Costa Rica with my service Dog. She was very Ill with diarrhea and throwing up. I was so concerned she was in so much trouble. Dr. Phillips was so helpful and accommodating due to my lack of time and communication. They rushed me in and helped jenny. She’s 100% now and so healthy. I am 100% stoked they were able to help us and they charged less then the estimated costs for all services. I would always recommend AAH.

I have really tried to hold back from posting this review however it's been a month and I can not stop thinking about it. We have been going here for over 2yrs and all 6 of our pets are seen by Dr. Phillips. He is an amazing vet so we never had any issues until this last visit. Dr. Phillips was on vacation and his fill in has completely made me considered finding a new vet. We recently got a new puppy and I was only bringing her in for a wellness check, vaccines and to set up an appointment to have an extra claw removed. Needless to say I left that day with no vaccine, no appointment to remove claw and $400 broker!!!!!!! I explained to the vet that I only wanted these things done and she insisted on doing a fecal test after I repeatedly said NO, she then tried to diagnose my baby with something only common in a different breed and that my baby showed zero signs of having! I'm very angry that I spent $400 on Nothing my baby needed and now I'm going to have to hand over more money to pay for the original reason for the visit. Not only did I feel angry when I left I also felt as if I was taken advantage of. There is nothing worse then a vet taking advantage of you knowing most people would do anything for their animals and most people are not armed with the knowledge and education to make an informed decision in that moment about the illness they claim your animals have. It's not until the money is paid and the damage is done, the owner has the opportunity to research.
