Visited on Sunday July 17, 2022. You can park within 10 feet of the Kishwaukee River and watch people on inner tubes or just enjoy the slow moving current pass by.

Wonderful walking path that is paved. Has shelter snd restrooms. Playground area for the children. You are able to watch tubers, canoes and kayaks go by on the river. Many fishing spots too.

Depends on where u start . From espensheid it's about 2 1/2 hours
My understanding is that the Kishwaukee river is a prime small mouth fishing location. Not sure about this particular location.
