Close to the front range, high enough to be a refuge from summer heat, and with 25 First-come-First-served sites, it is a great place to get away. Get there early or plan ahead and make reservations. Not very buggy too. About 10-15 South on Hwy 7 from Estes Park.

Best of many in the area in all ways. Sites are mostly all very good in terms of size and accessibility for RV/TT up to 30’ish. Bigger isn’t impossible, but seems tough. Spacious enough sites that it’s never crowded feeling. Very tent friendly with manicured, level pads. Nice big trees and good shade, with some sites less so if you want solar. Very, very clean bathrooms and sites every time we’ve been here. Hosts are very hardworking, knowledgeable of the area, and friendly. Tom in particular was so friendly and interested in making our stay in the area the best! He suggested great hiking trails, directions to free spring water, and even offered maps of the National Park. Thank you Tom!

Nice quiet campground, very woodsy, decently spaced out sites.

Enjoyed camping here. Nice quiet campground. Plenty of space between campsites. Very busy on the weekends with locals coming up from town. Hard to find a campsite on Friday and Saturday, but the campground cleared out and was nice and peaceful during the week. I would stay here again.

No lakes within the campgroung, and it is located near Rocky Mountains Nat Park and State Parks - so there are some rules.
