This place offers delicious lunch(11 am- 2 pm), afternoon food (2 pm -4 pm), and dinner options. You do not need to be a guest of the hotel to enjoy the Raya restaurant. Going to the Ritz is always a good experience. Ask for a table by a window and marvel at the views while you enjoy an impeccable meal. The service is always top-notch - if not every employee, then most. I want to give a huge thank you to Shekinah and Sue especially for making the 'already amazing' experience that much better. Chris was my server and he was very attentive and courteous. His recommendations were spot on. Great cocktail and good presentation food. Overall, The service was perfect, Views were heavenly. Food lacked the Ritz reputation but was still pretty good.

Food was mediocre but the service and the view was breathtaking!! 🙂 Nothing I ate really touched my soul. The Brussels sprouts were good (not amazing) A bit disappointed in the lack of flavors eating at such a gorgeous hotel. My friend added jalapeños, cheese and hot sauce to the crab mash potatoes and it made my heart smile! 🙂 If it’s not tasty..make it tasty! I would suggest going to the other restaurant (open on Fridays only) there selection is much better or to the local spots in the area. Usually those small local spots are the best! You know someone’s grandma/grandpa is back their cooking and they put their foot in it! 🤪😜 With all that said! Great place to have cocktails only! Save the cooking and food for someone’s grandma!! 4 stars for the view and service!!

They take walk ins (waitlisted via OpenTable) and reservations. Bar seating is first come, first serve. Free parking is down the block but we heard they also validate. Did not see easy access, window seats have stairs to get to. Our waitlist showed 30 mins ETA, but the hosts accommodated us early based on availability. We ordered the buddha bowl, roasted sweet potatoes, earl grey coffee cake and apple streusel type of dessert. Just go for the desserts, you will not regret it. Such beautiful and well thought of desserts in terms of flavors and textures (I can't help but say these pretentious words, but they will make all the sense when you taste these creations!). The mains however were alright. The bowl was a lil bland and came with an egg where the whites were hardly formed (not your 6 min conventional soft boiled) so it was a lil too mush for us. Service is fast and friendly. View is just fabulous, you have panoramic views of the stunning seal rock beach but are protected from all the wind (because Windows and walls). Overall, pretty fab.

Expansive Views, Excellent Drinks and Service: This is great spot to stop and check out the beach view and decor alone. Upon walking in, I instantly noticed the corridor lined with roses and other beautiful flowers. A few perfectly lit private seating areas. A fireplace. It felt comfortable. I ordered a passion fruit mojito, espresso martini, swordfish dip, steak tacos and the dark chocolate crème catalana. The drinks were excellent! My one and only critique I have is about the swordfish dip. It was bland and dry, if my going to be completely honest. It was not my favorite dish, but I would be willing to come back d try it again. Other than that, as far as food goes, the tacos were excellent and so was the dessert (an interesting, yet delicious take, on crème brûlée). My total bill was 98.00; with that being said the cost of food was about what I had expected - it’s the Ritz Carlton. Service gets an A+ (thank you, Ryan, for continuously making sure I had everything I needed). Cleanliness, atmosphere/vibe and view also were an A in my book. I’ll definitely be coming back here again. Side note: Valet was comped (a nice surprise), but typically there is a 5.00 charge if eating at the restaurant.

They have several restaurants that serve dinner.
Raya is a restaurant, part of the Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point. It is actually very good and offers astonishing views on the sea shore. So, I definitely recommend you get a table close to the windows, at sunset time and enjoy a wonderful meal.
