This place has the potential to be a great place to live. The apartments are decent and the area is not that bad. HOWEVER!!!!!! The maintenance and property management staff is awful. I’ve been here now three months and none of my maintenance and move in requests have been complete. When I contact the management office they give dates and times and nothing gets done and there is no follow up. The maintenance staff just sits around in their cars all day. At this point I’m not even sure if there is a maintenance staff. While I love my apartment it’s frustrating because it shouldn’t take months for a maintenance request to be completed. Update: After reading my review Kimberly from the management office called to discuss all the issues in my apartment. She made sure everything was completed that week and kept me updated with everything. I truly appreciate her, and I look forward to seeing all the new changes that take place with the new management and staff.

Do yourself a favor and don’t move here. I haven’t lived here since 2019 and they’re still ruining my life! We had a 15 month lease and TWICE our apartment flooded and at one point we had to move out for 4 weeks and they still made us pay rent! We never had a move out inspection, we never received our security deposit back, and just to add onto the hell they are trying to charge us for a carpet damage fee from debt collectors! From their own damage they’re trying to charge us! Even tho they stole our security deposit! Please don’t move here it will be the worst mistake of your life, guaranteed.

There have been two shootings in the past month. Literally 100 feet from the apartment I live in. This place is atrocious. I honestly can’t believe it’s in the suburbs. The people that occupy are obnoxiously loud. The buildings are infested with mice. The heating system never works. There’s much more but I felt as though people needed to know, that this is not a safe environment. Plus they haven’t found either of the shooters either lol

Very unprofessional and too expensive. Me and my family moved into a 2 bedroom on the first floor and have not had nothing but issues. We continuously experience issues with our heat not working and or air conditioners. When calling into the office to report these issues, the reps that answer the phone doesn't show 1 bit of empathy. Maintenance barely responds to any of our calls, let alone keep the apartment complex clean. When they do respond they patch the job. Every since management has been changed and they started excepting section 8, The New Colonies has gotten worst. Trash all over the parking lot, fast food bags thrown out of people's window and never picked (unless I pick it up). Our experience has just gotten worst the longer we stay.
