Festival of the Sugar Maples was terrific! The spring flowers in April and May are beautiful to look at too!

We went for the maple syrup walk which was a great experience for the family! We got to try some at the end of the tour too!

Great trail, always clean. Love there is a police officer there often makes me feel safe when I go hiking with my kids. We went to the maple which was fantastic learning for our kids and adults!

I enjoy exploring woodlands for my photography. This park was not a disappointment. It was far enough outside the city to not be overrun with people but not too far of a drive from the burbs. Parking is good and the trails are nice. I like to hike off trail to photo opportunities and this park was good for that. The underbrush is not too bad but I imagine navigating it in the summer would be a challenge as there can be a lot of sticker bushes to contend with.

There are no horseback riding trails at this site. For a complete list of sites with horse trails visit MCCD.me/Sites and select the button for horseback riding.

A few articles on the internet mention this place to be good for stargazing because of the low light pollution levels in the area. Any truth to this? I'm planning a date with someone and I'm looking for the best spot to stargaze together.

All conservation areas and parking lots are closed at sunset. Special use permits for stargazing are offered for specific sites. Coral Woods is not one of these sites, but Marengo Ridge, nearby, is. Please visit our website below and follow the directions for obtaining a free permit to stargaze from one of those parking areas. MCCD.me/SpecialUsePermits
