Great park! They really did a great job on this park, Ziplines, climbing structure and space themed slides. My kids had a blast! They have restrooms and shaded picnic areas with a nice trail to go on too. Highly recommend checking this out with your kiddos.

Awesome place to play! The new play place is almost worth paying for! Definitely recommended for kids/families of any age.

One of the best areas in Cedar Rapids! Even though they lost a good half of there trees, it's still a gorgeous place that they seem to keep expanding. The trails and park areas/rest areas are excellent and the cost to camp is really quite fair. Pet friendly too!

Camping rates are $23/night for first-come, first-serve campsites. The pack-in Group Camp is $40/night.
Morgan Creek is a first-come, first-serve campground - reservations are not accepted and you do not need a reservation to camp. There are fire rings. Thank you!
Morgan Creek Park sites are not able to be reserved. They are first come, first serve. Spots typically fill by Thursdays for weekends.
3 pm is official check in time but if the site is open you can go in earlier.
Yes on both accounts! There are a couple trails and one playground.
Typically, campgrounds such as Morgan Creek Park, are open April 15 - October 15, but we try to extend a few days if the weather is appropriate. We are close to closing for the year. We do have some year round campgrounds that do not have electricity or water; Wakpicada Natural Area behind the Linn County Fairgrounds, and Matsell Bridge Campgrounds 3690 Matsell Park Road.
Hello, there is a showerhouse available for use by registered campers who are staying in the Morgan Creek campground. Thank you!
Hello, The Rules and Regulations state that you can have one main camping unit on each site (a camper, large tent, RV, camping trailer, etc.). You may have one small (8' x 10' or smaller) tent in addition to your main camping unit. You would pay one registration fee for the site if it meets those guidelines. If not, each camping unit needs to be on its own site and someone must register/pay for each camping unit/site. In our primitive camping areas you must pay per tent because there are no "sites" per se, just large areas. In those areas it is $12 per tent/camping unit and someone must register and pay for each tent/camping unit.
Morgan Creek Park has 35 first-come, first-serve sites. Because it is first-come, first-serve we cannot tell you future availability.
