Went around Halloween time. Great place to go walk around with our toddler and check out the pumpkins and friendly animals. Heard it gets busy on weekends so I usually go toward the end of the day on weekdays and it's been great. Have not tried the food. $19 for a turkey leg is a bit steep for me. Outside of holidays, there are still animals to see and feed, the grounds are nice, and the country store has a ton of snack options and stuff.

If you are looking for a great place to go for a family outing this is an excellent choice! I have literally been coming to Bates since 1974!! It hasn't lost its charm! There is something for everyone. Delicious gourmet treats inside. A variety of animals to feed and view. Pick up a calendar of events because you will see a variety of fun things Bates hosts such as car shows, craft fairs, pet shows and more. Also a great place for an event such as a wedding or anniversary party 🎊. The Farmers daughter boutique is quaint and has unique items. A great place for a picnic! A awesome romantic outing to buy chocolates. Just a beautiful place to spend time!

I have so many great childhood memories of Bates it was really nice to share it with the next generation. Nice spot for a walk, a neat chance to feed some barnyard animals, and an opportunity to pick up some top tier candy and freshly roasted nuts to bring home. Worth the drive!

What a great experience. We visited on a rare cloudy Sunday, and everything was perfect. Beautiful pumpkin patch with some giant pumpkins, and dads hauling in wheelbarrows with the kids. Nice selection of decorative pumpkins too. A very fun straw maze for kids (best suited to younger kids, as the older kids can peep over the maze). The main Bates shop is a great opportunity for kids and adults to get into the Halloween candy craze. And a small little petting zoo to round off the experience. For the convenience factor, there are clean restrooms and quick food options like burgers and hot-dogs. The setting of the farm in a picturesque valley adds the extra fun touch. If you are driving from the San Diego metro area, take the more scenic route via Lake Wohlford Rd.

Yes! Its a pretty good one too. They also have picknick tables etc.
Yes they are, have to RSVP by August 15th I believe.
Yes, we went on Sunday afternoon, got there about 230pm and there was no charge for parking.
Beating a dead horse here but going to be quite hot today and there is no tour or education about farming given here.
Parking was $8. No admission fee. All rides food and crafts have a cost.
It depends when you get there. I go within an hour of opening and there is no crowd.
The closest hotel is Valley View Casino. It is only a couple miles away.
They have hand sanitizer plus a hand washing station by the animals. Picnic tables are widely-spaced. In the store they are monitoring capacity and have plastic barriers at cash registers. They have also taken out some displays to make more room.
If you have COVID you can do anything! Just look at the president! 😉 But to be serious, I'm guessing you want to know what's open at Bates. They still have the pony rides and petting zoo as well tractor hay ride. They clean between rides/visitors. U can still pick a pumpkin as well.
There different price points depending on how much you buying a small bag can be around 3_4 dollars and and bigger bag will be more.
Sorry we do not, hope you find it!
I do not think they have any of that there
Yes, their nuts are mostly organic. Bates nut farm has something for everyone's needs.

They have lots of events going on during spring time, this last weekend they had a food truck festival and a car show. They also have a petting zoo which is always nice for little kids.
No charge, you can buy small bags of corn to feed the animals. Seems like they are 50 cents or so. Nice place to picnic.
Reserve it via their website. Price depends on what area and what they will provide.
