Nice selection of knives in a nice area. Other than that, I'd steer clear. I've been there twice by myself, and was given the cold shoulder by staff who were less than friendly. Akin to some gun shops who seem bothered that you're there at all. Very high prices plus bad attitudes equals bad review.

Background on me: Ive been collecting and using knives for work and EDC for 20+yrs. Knives here are 50-100% mark up. 50$ knives go for 75$. 160$ knives go for 300$. They have everything, just over priced. Nevermind the attitude based around "Buy or leave". It's a tourist trap.

I was looking for places local to purchase a few knives and found Country Knives. I took a look through the photos online and the place looks great; that is until I took a look at their website to see what all they offer and WOW is all I have to say. The first WOW is the selection is amazing and vast but thats where it stops. The second WOW comes from the prices. I'm all for supporting local business and I'm willing to pay a higher price to do so but a 35-40% markup is just too much. I don't mind paying $220-230 for a knife that's $200 online but asking $270-280 is just ridiculous. It's really a shame too because this would be the type of place I could frequent.

Any sharp knife will work if you know what youre doing, but based on your description of it it sounds like the perfect knife for the job.

They do, however they dont sharpen while you wait
Masks are mandatory, no exceptions. Mask must be worn over the nose! We get that no one likes wearing them. We wear them to protect you and each other – please wear one to protect us. We also provide and require the use of Hand Sanitizer for everyone as they enter our store.
They do sharpen knives.
I would contact them directly and ask. Give them a call or visit them to talk to someone who would be more knowledgeable about it.
