After I made sure I had the right documentation, I found their service to be very helpful and friendly. Took a couple tries but that was on me not them.

I have never, not once EVER, walked into DMV/drivers licensing facility and been the only customer there...that is exactly what happened when I went in to get my Idaho license. Walked right up to the clerk window and I was helped immediately. The ladies there were very pleasant and helpful, smiles on their faces. I can't say I've ever had a better experience at a DMV.

Sad that when you show up to renew your license and are told that they will more than likely get to you and then get told and hour and a half later your told "Oh sorry we take our last person at 4:20 and it's after that so we can't help you". If your not going to be able to help people with renewing their drivers licenses then just tell them when they first arrive or maybe if there seems to be the demand on getting licenses renewed then change the hours of operation so people that can't make the busiest times can make it in time.

We had a bit of a wait initially, but that is pretty standard of all drivers licensing offices. We did not expect to be there as long as we were (we were moving from out of state and getting Idaho licenses) and we did not expect to have to take the written test (which, thankfully, we passed). We were probably there for about two hours total. That being said, the two ladies working there were super nice and funny and made it a very pleasant experience. The key to success is to COME PREPARED. Know what documents you need to bring and what the requirements are. Have a good attitude. These ladies don't make the rules, but it is their job to enforce them.

You can change your address online at itd.idaho.gov. To add the STAR you will need to go to a local DL office and present your documents.

Yes. 9:15-10 AM Monday-Friday is for seniors 65 and over.
They are doing walk-in but you have to take a number and then wait outside.
