WALK INS NOT WELCOME. I had a terrible ear ache and arrived at the MinuteClinic promptly at 9am on Sunday. The assistant who was setting up was so kind and communicative, but she said she couldn't do anything until the nurse practitioner arrived, which is understandable. At 9:07am the "professional" I had been waiting for finally strolled in and when the assistant said I was a walk in who wanted to be squeezed in, she rolled her eyes and said we have to make our appointments a priority...meanwhile I was the only one there. When I pointed out that I was the only one there but would be happy to wait (by this time it was 9:10am and still no other patient waiting to be seen), she went into her office, called the assistant in and they both emerged stating they could see me at 11am. I replied once again I was happy to wait but asked if there was any way to just take a quick look because i was in pain and still...I was the only patient there. She rudely said that it "wasn't quick because we have to do insurance," I replied that I self-pay (no insurance) and her response to that was, "well still, we don't even have to see you, because if you don't have an appointment you're putting everyone else out so she's doing me a favor by even seeing me at 11am." I was so appalled by her comment and lack of professionalism I stood up and said, "well, you don't have to be such a B about it and so much for the hippocratic oath, huh? Maybe you'd have been able to "squeeze me in" if you'd been at your job on time." And I left. It was 9:16 by this time and STILL I was the only patient there. I was able to be seen at another urgent care-and the appointment once I saw the Dr took literally less than 5 minutes. Oh, and by the way, I had/have both an inner and outer ear infection. Why even work at a walk in urgent care clinic if you don't CARE and clearly don't know the meaning of URGENT? The only saving grace was her assistant/nurse/helper, who was apologetic and very kind the entire time.

Make sure you ask questions about the price and services and see if your insurance covers them unless you want to be charged $800 for typically $60 service. It is partially my fault for not having asked more questions and denied unnecessary services. But hoping other patients don’t make the same mistake as I did because it’s ridiculous.

Money well spent. I was really sick and don't have health insurance. I didn't want to run up a huge er bill and medexpress is about 250 bucks. I wish I could remember the nurse practitioner that helped me. She was kind and knowledgeable. She was careful to prescribe the most affordable meds she could. 24 hours and I'm already feeling much better after being sick for over a week. I highly recommend this.

I had a sinus infection and was treated by NP Meredith. She was very professional, kind, and informative. She even checked the price of my prescription against local competitors AND printed a Good Rx coupon for me. CVS was the cheapest, which was convenient. It was my first time to the CVS Minute Clinic. I really like how you can check yourself in and see how long your wait is on the screen in the waiting area. You can also opt for a text notification to let you know the NP will see you soon. This means you can walk around the store rather than just sit there looking at magazines. I was a walk in but you can also make an appointment.

Yes rapid testing was offered as well as lab testing which takes two or three days to get results.
I am not sure....but I would think so. It saves you a lot of time in the hospital and the dr is the best.
Yes they can. They are very good.
Seriously doubt that lol 🤦🏻♀️
