I received hyperbaric therapy from this clinic. Having none in my State that offer Hyperbaric therapy outside of the 13 approved insurance uses (all are hospitals), I needed to travel to Spokane Valley to get therapy from these people. They were nice enough to provide a letter of support, a prescription (after testing and case history). I submitted the information along with other letters of support to a foundation, which payed the amount. The referral was from the Director of the wound care program (hyperbaric) at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, who also referred the Air Force to the Spokane facility, when his own hospital administrators blocked the use by the airbase in Great Falls. This is what I have learned along the way: Hyperbaric, abbreviated HBOT, is very good for brain injury, MS, and Fibromyalgia. This clinic has experienced technicians that can give you specific information, and an M.D. as the medical director who does the testing and is knowledgeable and experienced with hyperbarics. This is important, because you don't want to go to a clinic that does not have these features. Some are only run by nurses, if that, and use inferior technology. All technicians at Spokane Hyperbaric are certified by the national diving association, as this is the same treatment for divers with the bends. The $6 million dollar equipment is a hard-shell treatment system that can get to the necessary pressure. And they do deal with insurance cases, meeting all the necessary protocols and procedures. So you are getting the same treatment quality as is the standard practice for the 13 approved insurance uses, as for your brain injury, MS, or other treatable issue. There are competitors that use a bag-type system. These can only go to 1.3 atmospheres, and the Neubauer protocol requires 1.5. I cannot recommend these people enough, even if you only have questions about the use of it. There are decades of proven results, however the insurance is in cahoots with the patent pharma industry, and do not want permanent, non-toxic cures for people. Preferring instead to have them hooked on their synthetic drugs. I consulted with Dr. Neubauer's clinic in Florida, and they confirmed the rates charged were reasonable, in fact lower than the rates they could offer. I think you'll find these are the best and the best price at minimum in the northwest, and possibly nationwide. When researching your choices, be aware that run-of-the-mill M.D.'s usually cow-tow to whatever the patent pharmaceutical line is, and will not write a prescription for hyperbarics, outside of the insurance-approved uses at most, because of their lack of information. Also if a medical procedure is carried-out, and the client attempts to send the bill to Medicare/Medicaid, the doctor can run into problems because these treatments are not approved as "medically necessary" by the Federal Government. It doesn't mean they don't work, it just means you're on your own finding payment options. Your own M.D. is likely to be negative towards the use of hyperbarics, and so the caution is, if you've come this far, you may realize that 95% of Doctors are in it for the money, fame, glory or other pressures besides making people's lives better, and rarely take an interest in information other than what is being shoved at them or approved by their peer group (of other Doctors in the same situation). This is good medicine. It works.

Questions & Answers

Does the hyperbaric chamber help with copd.

Call and ask Joy. Also, I had a friend, who had good health besides COPD. Because of his otherwise good health, he was offered stem cell replacement, and after a month or so he wasn't using O2 at night, and after two months his capacity increased by 6%. SHB can't be making money off private pay (morning) patients, the way I figure. Insurance at hospital-based hyperbarics is billed $3100 presently, PER DIVE. SHB fills the chamber in the afternoon, I think twice, with 16 insurance covered cases (people damaged by radiation, aka mainstream cancer treatment, btw). The private pay rates are among the lowest in the country. You'll find several cases for a variety of isssues, where HBOT helped, that insurance does not pay for. Pharma are mostly interested in subsidizing pharmaceutical and other destructive options. It's early here, set my alarm too soon. Hopefully that helps you.
