It is unconscionable for Sears to sell Kenmore Elite Refrigerator/Freezers that are known to fail in just a few years. Mine was several years short of being out of warranty and so the parts were at no charge. The tech was able to diagnose the failure as one of two parts and narrow that down to one part. The turnaround time for installation of the failed part was two weeks. I had to buy a used refrigerator/freezer and go through that story for two weeks. The second tech was efficient and had the repair finished in under three hours. I am livid that I had to pay $380 in labor when the fault was not mine but Sears. The blessing is that $380 is still cheaper than buying a new refrigerator every three or four years when they should last for 25 years.
