I normally go to OTF Midtown. My first time at OTF University. It's like Chick-fil-A, no matter which one you go to, it's all good. The atmosphere is energetic, the staff is courteous, and the coaches are awesome.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first class at OTF! The Coach, group energy, and music made for a fun workout.

I love the OTF University team, workout, and studio space so much! The workouts are always different and you can go as hard or as easy as you want. I love that the coaches are motivating but allow you to work at your own pace. If you're looking for an intense, doable, and fun workout, I recommend checking out OTF!

First and foremost, I want to say overall my time at Orangetheory has been a positive experience for the most part. I started in Wilmington, NC and what I loved most about my gym was the staffing was nothing short of professional, courteous, and welcoming. They knew everyone by name and treated everyone like family. Moving to Charlotte, I was expecting the same experience. And again, for the most part I was pretty satisfied. Since joining the University location I’ve seen a good amount of turnover, which is fine. However, lack of knowledge and inconsistency became an issue for me. Some of the staff weren’t as knowledgeable about policies, so communication was not consistent. When expressing this feedback, the manager Chris was very rude and condescending. We pay a pretty penny to join this gym. Professionalism is the bare minimum that I expect when paying this amount to workout here. I am not entitled by any means, I work very hard to maintain a membership here. Chris told me if I try to help you, I put myself in a bind and get in trouble with my higher ups. Or you signed a contract, you knew what you were signing up for… Not once did I complain about policies or paying my dues. My feedback was in regards to miscommunication and to not place responsibility on the consumer for what happens behind closed doors. What happens between you and your manager is your problem, not mine and trying to make me feel bad about it, isn’t ok. As a manager, as well as someone who works in customer service, I was extremely displeased with the way I was spoken to. Especially, as a loyal client as myself. A part of being a manager is being able to take constructive criticism and respond respectfully. What you decide to say about me behind closed doors or amongst your peers is none of my concern. Since Chris did not care to hear my concerns or provide me with the contact information I asked for, I want to share my thoughts here in hopes that someone may read this and feel inclined to hear me out.
