It’s such a secret hidden gem that is a pleasant stay with lots of character and history and it makes you feel at home tucked away safely in the Carolina countryside with a memorable and unique feel and a delicious array of breakfast options from your normal country breakfast to pastries, cereal options, oatmeal, fruits, yogurt, coffees, teas, and a variety of other options. It’s a very friendly and accommodating experience and the service is impeccable! I highly recommend to visit and stay awhile! It’s life changing!

The best B&B around. Great staff. Clean rooms. Great breakfast. Close to many attractions like the Uwharrie Mountains, Baiden Lake, Asheboro Zoo, StarWorks, etc. Definitely recommend it to everyone who plans on staying.

We were on the Manteo to Murphy trip suggested by Our State magazine (NC). Noted that Star was the geographic center of NC. Beautiful house. Woodwork was magnificent! We were advised th hat all of the interior woodwork was fone by th he woodworking craftsman that did the interior woodwork on the Titanic. My husband an I were the only two eating breakfast that morning. What a buffet! It easily could have served 25+. Everything was delicious! We will always stay there when traveling across state. Loved it! (Reference the phone calls not being answered...the owners had no additional help. P They may be closed for a specific reason.. maybe because of Covid virus).

Great service and conversation with Richard the owner. The place is lovely with loads of antiques and historical items. I've been coming back to this b&b for over 10 yrs. I highly recommend!
