Was really disappointed. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, some pork dumplings and broccoli and beef combo. The sweet and sour chicken tasted but and the beef and broccoli combo was like 75% rice. I got rice on the sid ein it's own container and then the container with the beef was mostly fried rice. Like 65-75% rice. And most of it was broccoli too. The beef and broccoli had almost no flavor. I will NOT be coming back. What a ripoff

Went in today with an intimate friend, we had a lovely time! The food was very well prepared, everything tasted great! We got the sweet and sour shrimp combo, the sesame chicken combo, and a side of crab rangoon. Note for visiting: there is no soda machine. All drinks are bottled or canned. They do have a lovely hot tea set-up, in the corner. Wasn't sure if it was complimentary but it appeared to be. The staff were all very responsive and respectful; it was a pleasure being handled by such professionalism. We ordered, were served at our table, and left all within 45 minutes. It wasn't very busy when we came in, but the place had a good vibe to it. I didn't use the restrooms, but my companion did, she didn't mention anything about them so I am assuming they're adequate at the very least. For two people the bill came to roughly 25 dollars. This includes a bottled soda and a can of mountain dew. They have napkins and utensils as well as regular assortment of condiments for a Chinese food place-- namely the mustard, soy sauce, and duck sauce. I really enjoyed the duck sauce on my egg roll. I thought it was one of the better ones I've tried that come in the individual dispensable packets. :) Not sure if they were out for us to grab, but I remember at one point my companion requested chopsticks and they were provided. This location is pretty handicap accessible also. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center with ramps. My own little personal favorite part: The calendars on the wall. I had wished I had asked them if I could have one or if I could buy one of them. I haven't seen a calendar like that in a while. :) This is some of the best chinese food I've tasted in PA. I come from Boston, MA so this is pretty high praise. If you don't know, the Chinese food in New England is world famous. I have been searching for a place to frequent for my fix, locally. This place is it now! I will be returning in the future. The only negative I can mention was that the rice didn't taste like it does in MA; but it was the closest I've experienced since moving to Harrisburg.

I discovered New China Express many years ago now. It is the only Chinese food restaurant I've ordered from for years, maybe 2-4 time a year. The picture I included is "Vegetable" Lo Mein I bought yesterday. As you can see there is almost no veggies at all. As soon as I got home and opened the box I noticed the difference between this and the Lo Mein I ordered in past years. Pretty much all the vegetables have be omitted and they are now saturating the noodles in a heavy dark brown sauce. Maybe they think if the noodles are dark enough you won't notice the vegetables are missing. I'm thinking this business must have changed ownership. The difference in the food quality is drastic! New China Express in no longer my go to place when I have a taste for Chinese Food. I just threw their menu in my recycling bin. What a shame! I ate at Hong Kong Ruby off Linglestown Road for the first time in March and enjoyed my meal. I'll give them my business going forward. Shame on you New China Express!!!
