Beautiful. Great family camping. You can purchase firewood there. Water is very clean and clear and there's a waterfall and a little bit of rapids

Park host was rude and discriminatory, the park needs signs that firewood isn't self serve. I loaded a wheel barrow after standing by them for 40 minutes, then walked it to the host to pay. He scolded me and then asked me if I was with the church group that was there, after I said I wasn't he accused me of trying to steal it even though I found him. Bathrooms need thoroughly cleaned not just toilet paper refill, gross stuff all over the walls. Camping was great, sites are nice, river is perfect for hot days.

Beautiful Park but be careful of the people there especially those from out of state or out of town. I've seen a lot and have had problems with bad people in the past who have been there who get more enjoyment seeing other people hurt or put through pain and suffering. The bad people get enjoyment out of it and they participate in gross and disgusting behavior. It's a tradition with a very particular group. Times are changing and even back then not every place is safe. Keep your phones handy or a good Ham radio handy just in case you need to get ahold of authorities.

It is simply a campground, but the kids and family had a great time at Moonshine Park even though there were to many people and not enough fishing near camp. On a good note they have flushable toilets and private showers. $1.25 will get you 7 minutes of water that is actually always hot and the camp host is very nice and they do a fantastic job keeping everything clean.

A small wheel barrow full. Seems generous in my opinion. There is also people on moonshine Rd who sell it too, but I've only used the parks service
At the moment you can still burn a camp fire in their designated spots in your individual camp site
Yes there is a camp host. I dont think they r open all year round you will have 2 call.
Yes, they were open, but spaces are limited. I'd reserve ahead of time, for sure.
It was full all the week before last as well. The big swimming hole is a zoo with zero distancing as well, still loads of people coming for day use. Same upstream at the hole closer to the gate from about 1pm on.
Yes it is open! It opened about a month ago i think. The cost per night is 20$
There is a natural spring that someone used to make moonshine with back in the day.
They do not
You can camp anywhere there, you will find the main area where kids are safer but if they go too far alone they might end up in the current.
They have veterinarian discounts though
