It's my opinion TD auto finance is a terrible company. Their customer service training must be sub par. I have been getting the run around and different answers between different customer service representatives over the phone. I'm waiting on my payoff refund check due to overpayment from my insurance. Speaking with their customer service reps can sometimes be extremely frustrating. It seems not all their employees receive the same information during training. Some are very helpful and some are terrible, but as we know, everything in business starts at the top.

I have never had to deal with a more incompetent company when it came to auto financing. I paid off my loan and waited 2 weeks before I called to find out why I had not received any acknowledgment about the payoff. They then told me I would receive my title within 7 to 10 business days. Again I waited for two weeks before I called to find out why I had not received my title. I have then called everyday to get a Lien payoff letter and I paid for express delivery 3 days ago and have only received a tracking number but it has still not left there facility. I feel all I get are people telling me I have to wait until Tuesday or Thursday to get anything done. They said it would be sent out on Monday and it still has not been sent.

I have never written an online review before, but as a customer with a perfect payment records for six years, the lack of compassion and help from TD Auto Finance has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I took out an auto financing loan with TD Auto Finance six years ago and every payment was made on time through automatic bank payments. The last payment did not process through the auto payment and I did not receive any notifications via email, mail, etc. I checked back a few weeks after the payment should have been debited and called, only to find out that they sent my information to a collections agency after 30 days. I paid the bill that day manually once I realized what had happened. My credit score went from 815 to 720 within a matter of one final missed automatic payment. I work for an emergency hospital and have been consumed with juggling COVID protocols. I called and asked if I could appeal this oversight and wrote two letters asking for forgiveness on this honest mistake, only to receive two generic letters back stating my appeal was being denied. TD Auto Finance has left me feeling extremely disappointed and the only reason I am writing this online is because nobody at the company seems to care or want to help me.

They are outright refusing to take my payment. I have legal American currency and they keep telling me no we will not take your payment. My auto payment is due in a couple days and I have spoken to the highest manager and he keeps telling me no we will not take your payment. I'm going to file a complaint with the attorney general, and the Better Business Bureau for sketchy billing practices. I have audio recordings of every single time you guys have told me that you won't take my payment. I keep asking why won't you take my payment? And I can't get no answer.

Call the customer service line, explain you've lost your title, and request a Lien Release letter. Being that Titles are given by the DMV in most states, they won't be able to provide an additional title, so you would need a lien release letter from TD Auto Finance as proof they no longer have interest in the vehicle, then take said letter to the DMV and apply for a duplicate/lost title.
Could you be more specific? Binder for what?
Yes. Bilingual representatives are always on standby, simply ask your customer service rep, for spanish, or say hablo espanol, and they will connect you to a bilingual representative! Additionally they even have translators for all languages worldwide.
Depends on why it is being done, and what state you live in. TD Auto Finance is a third party lending company, which prevents them from offering refinancing because of licensing. To have your name added, after signing the contract at the dealership, you would have to find another financing company to refinance, as TD Auto Finance is bound to the terms of the contract set by the dealer. TD Bank, and TD Auto Finance are merely sister company's under the parent company of TD. They don't have the same rules as other Banks. Their structure is different, and may seem annoying, but it's honestly more secure.
TD Auto Finance offices are merely call centers, and closed office work. They are a third party lender through dealerships. They are a sister company under the parent company TD of TD Bank. They arent a bank that has an auto finance division, they are a completely separate lending company entirely. The only way to obtain a lien release letter or title from TD Auto Finance, is to have it mailed to you, or faxed. They consider email a breach of security.

You would need to request a lien release from TD Auto Finance, and then take release letter to DMV and file for duplicate title. You can request TD Auto cover the duplicate fee, if they are the ones who made the error in spelling your address. If you simply forgot to update the address, this is considered to be yourself at fault, and you are responsible for the cost.
GAP insurance is setup by the dealership through a third party. It's best to reach out to the original dealer you purchased from for help with this.
