We've use Shasta Eye almost yearly since 2016 and have always had a positive experience. Dr. Crum is excellent, Funny, and puts my son at ease. My grandma comes here too, every couple months and they are great with her also. I'd recommend Shasta Eye to anyone needing care for their eyes.

Dr. Crum was excellent in his manner. I appreciated his explanations of my eye health. I also want to thank the optical department for helping me pick out a great new pair of glasses and being fully aware of my insurance limits. I would ask that the front desk take a moment to acknowledge those who use the auto check in feature. I had no way of knowing I was put into the queue and waited over 30 minutes before my name was called.

I had an appointment there today to arrange cataract removal. I arrived before my appointment time of 8:30. I had to talk to staff at 10:30 to explain I had to get my wife to another appointment across town. I finally saw the doctor and left the facility at 11:00 a.m. 2 1/2 hours! Someone needs to review your system for determining the order in which patients are taken in each area. By the time I got to the doctor's section, I was treated as a brand new arrival with everyone else (who actually came after me) handled first. Everyone was very nice, but your system is not working in all cases. I am giving you one star to get your attention. I am aware that your doctors and staff are competent professionals.

The technicians are very pleasant always. My doctor does his best to keep up wot his many patients. I believe he has saved my eyesight and I appreciate it. Y the facility is pleasantly decorated. Has plants coffee (when appropriate ) and seasonal decorations they try harder!

Hi Steven. Medical insurance never covers glasses. There are a variety of eye insurances that will pay for both a refraction (eye glasses check) and a pair of glasses. Two common eye insurances are Vision Service Plan (or VSP) and Medical Eye Services (or MES). Those are commonly paired with medical insurance and many people aren't sure if they have eye insurance. If you call these guys they can help you figure it out. As far as prices for lenses, you get what you pay for (just like with camera lenses). A high quality lab that makes great lenses and coatings will cost a little more than a low quality lab. These guys use a great quality lab and I've been happy with all the lenses I got from here. For frames they're comparable to other eye doctors. One huge perk is that they work with you to make sure the frame fits you well and don't charge for adjustments. I went back ~ 3 times for my last pair to get the adjustment right and they happily helped me tweak the fit until I was happy.
Check with office. We used Medicare supplement.
