There's a great pool of vendors, and the produce variety increases as the season progresses, especially towards the end of summer to beginning of fall. Very community-oriented with their friendly atmosphere.

Certainly best farmers market around, and I’ve been to a bunch! A great variety of vendors - meat, dairy and several produce stands with a sprinkle of niche vendors. The employees are friendly and helpful. It is very busy the entire time so plan accordingly. I like to preorder what I can!

Bring lots of reusable bags and lots of money. So much beautiful produce, baked goods, smoked fish, humanely raised meats, and so much more!

I work Saturday mornings, so I rarely get a chance to go to the farmer's Market, but I got to go last week and I loved it. So many booths to visit with a wide range of fresh produce, as well as cider, mead, regular and gluten free fresh pasta and baked goods, and mushroom growing kits. Most booths take credit/debit cards too.

Hi Mary Lynn! We definitely do have vendors who accept Massachusetts Farmers' Market Coupons (not the Boston ones, since those are specific to the Boston area only). The coupons actually expired on October 31, but I hope you'll keep us in mind next year when the new round comes out!
Hi Linda! Great question. There is on street parking both on Somerville Ave and on Bow St. Since the market actually takes place on the street, there is a detour if you're going eastbound on Somerville Ave starting at Dane St (right before Market Basket), so you'll want to go around or come westbound down Bow St. There is also parking in a municipal lot in front of where The Independent is! Be sure to check the meters, as you'll likely have to pay for parking.
Hi Samuel! It sure is. We are open each Saturday from 9am-1pm through November 20 (rain or shine!). Please note we have a new location. We are now on Somerville Ave close to Sally O’Brien’s. You can use 366 Somerville Ave as a GPS address. Looking forward to seeing you!
Hi! Thanks so much for reaching out! We are working with the City of Somerville to solidify those protocols now and look forward to sharing with everyone before our first market on May 15. The best place to see these updates is on our website at unionsquaremain.org. Hope to see you at the market this season!
Hi Leslie! Thanks for your question. Siraco Sharpening comes to our Market a few times each season so customers can have their knives sharpened there, but I'm sorry to say that our last Market is next Saturday, and they're not scheduled to be there!
Nothing super close. There's a Holiday Inn on Washington Street, about a mile away.
It's still held in the same location. The constitution doesn't interfere with the farmer's market.
I know you can at the central square Farmers market, but I'm not sure about Union square.
Not sure about Davis Sq but Mike is right. Union Sq opens on Mayb12th. I highly recommend checking out the Organic Mushroom grower guys and the local cheese vendors.
