Decided we didn't have time to make a birthday cake and my wife ended up calling Bread and Roses - had never heard of them. I have to say, this was as good a cake as I have ever had - and I've eaten my share of cake (pies and cookies as well :-). We brought it to the party and it was a huge hit. I highly recommend this bakery if you want to make an impression on family and guests.

In 2020 my husband and I stumbled upon Bread and Roses Bakery by chance. It was recommended by Gazebo Inn as part of their elopement package and this bakery did not disappoint! The wedding cake (formally known as Erin's wedding cake) was the best cake we had ever eaten! It was so good we ordered it again for our postnuptial party the subsequent summer!!! The past two years we also ordered the 6 inch version for our anniversary!!! Thank you for making our wedding celebration even more special, Bread and Roses!

Bought a little too many goodies from here but I thought it was worth it. With covid, only 4 people are allowed inside at a time. I got the biggest chocolate chip cookie ever. It was literally the size of my head. I also got the raspberry oat bar, pumpkin whoopie pie, chocolate whoopie pie, and lemon tea cake.

Thanks so much for asking! We are meeting or exceeding the CDC and Maine CDC protocol for safety. We are all servsafe trained and took the Covid Serve safe training as well. We only allow four people at a time in our shop and keep everyone six feet apart as much as possible. Masks are worn by every employee every minute that they are in the building. Masks are required for all customers.
