It was very empty of customers. We got individual attention. The cheese is excellent. They also have many more items all Maine made. Their sign on the road seems small and might be missed.

Interesting collection fo mostly Maine food items with a cheesemaker onsite & Maine Street Meats as a sub store within it.

Such a unique little place. Great selection of Maine made merchandise. Prices for the cheese are good considering it is made right there with top ingredients. It only cost me $5.50 for a block of organic cheddar and it's super tasty, I also highly rocomend the Jack dill flavored cheese. Good selection of wine from maine brewers. Best place to go for picnic suplies!

Very cozy quaint little bakery meets butcher meets cheese shop meets deli. Did an excellent job of finding the items on our "grocery" list

We are no longer in Rockport, the former owner sold the business and building in 2019 and the business has moved to Waldo. We no longer have a large store front as before, we are now located at Springdale Farm and cheese can be purchased out of our small self-serve farm store, or from our booth at the United Farmers Market of Belfast on Saturdays 9 to 2:00. Our products are also at may stores and coops across Maine. You can also order online at www.stateofmainecheese.com. Thank you!
Please call the store.
