Good climb uphill. No dogs allowed 😢. On paved road, so not as much a nature hike as I’d like. But decent cardio. Beautiful views…

An excellent free outdoor space, leading to the top of Tumamoc Hill. It is fairly busy here almost at all times, but the road to the top is wide enough to facilitate all. You will find people of all levels of athletics, from ones training with extra weight to a families on a casual stroll. Well maintained and beautiful area, with plenty of info signs and seating along the trail.

This hiking trail is an excellent workout that is challenging whether you merely walk it or attempt to jog it. Not sure if it is a coincidence that a Heart and Vascular Emergency Center is located not more than 200 meters from the trail start! No wheels allowed for obvious safety reasons.

The bike racks are flat pillars with cutouts of horned toads. Next to the first bench you come to upon starting the trail, left-hand side before the shrine.
