First review I have ever written. Sales person was nice and no pressure. I tried to get car inspected prior to purchase but was told I only had 2 hours to do that which was basically impossible to do with the mechanic I used in Huntington Beach. I was told that the cars are Hertz Certified and go thru thorough inspection prior to sales. If I did get it inspected I could always return it within 7 days and would be responsible for $200 restocking fee. I ended up purchasing the vehicle and had it inspected the following day. My mechanic found the following: cable for trunk release was broken, cabin air filter was dirty, engine air filter was dirty, leakage around left axle boot and slight oil leakage at cylinder head gasket. Needless to say I returned the car to Hertz right after the inspection at which time they started the paperwork to get my money refunded minus the $200 restocking fee. They said that this was unusual and apologized. MY RECOMMENDATION IS TO GET CAR INSPECTED PRIOR TO PURCHASE.

Be aware!! Really disappointed customer service, I went there to purchase my new which one’s I saw on Hertz website, sells personal show me my desire vehicle 2019 Nissan Altima but that’s vehicle have one faded color door doesn’t matched with car color, sales person told me if you bought this vehicle we will fix this color issue, and then Hertz Costa Mesa location manager is come outside and said we don’t do anything our all vehicle is As Is, He also said Hertz don’t care anymore about the Sales any vehicle to customers because now Hertz preference is to send all vehicle to CarMax and other Action, He said company keep open this place but be honest we are not interested to sell our vehicle to customers, we making more money to sell our cars in action’s, we just wasting our time to go there, this is not a good place to buy used cars, really disappointed they should close the location if they are not interested to sell customers.

Booked a van online on 7/1/21 PM for 7/2/21 9 AM pickup. I showed up at 9:15 AM, they told me that they called me at 7:30 AM to let me know the vehicle was unavailable, which I didn't see since I was sleeping. The guy at the counter seemed very unapologetic, emphasizing the fact that they left me a voicemail and I booked late on a holiday weekend. I understand that there's a high demand for rentals on a holiday weekend, but the website should not allow me to book and waste my time driving to Hertz if the vehicle is unavailable. And I didn't like how the guy at the counter made it sound like it was my fault for booking late and not checking my voicemail.

What an incredible car-buying experience at Herz Car Sales Costa Mesa.
