Absolute gem of a spot right in the hustle of UCLA and LA in general. You can quickly stroll through or meander and wander in this urban retreat for a couple hours. Shaded spots for seating and even some areas to read or picnic. Parking is kinda of an issue. There are problems and online information about events and activities. Thank you for the staff who provide this awesome garden. You can find koi fish and turtles in the water too.

I can't remember the last time I came to the gardens, but it was too long ago! This is a beautiful oasis in the midst of the city. The grounds are meticulously kept. It is clean, green, and just a wonderful place to have a peaceful walk.

Nice trail adjacent to ucla med school. Takes about 30 minutes to visit, but tables and benches are available if you want to linger or have lunch. Parking lot near the entrance is $3/hour.

It was a delightful experience. The guide, Jules was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. It was like traveling the world with the variety of plants that we saw. A site of calm and coolness on a hot August day in So CA (Westwood by UCLA). Worth a visit in every season.

Brian, we love our furry best friends! Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed and remain in garden trails. Please be prepared to pick up after any waste!
Angel, reservations are required when taking photos/ filming at the Garden. Please go to https://www.botgard.ucla.edu/filming-photography-at-the-garden/ for more.
Yes. I've seen people come and walk their dogs here. Leashes may be required.
P.R Ray, Every season brings in new blooms all throughout the Garden. During the month of April and May, you can see our small Southern California Wildflower display in full bloom. During January, you will see our Sprenger's Magnolia in display as they open up. We recommend following our socials to stay updated on what's blooming at the garden @uclabotanical. Thanks for stopping by!
