Strictly by the rules... Doesn't matter if you are a regular or not! Excellent water quality and always clean! I forgot my mask the other day and the dude gave me one, but had an agro attitude about it as he threw it towards me? The manager is on point and is frequently around if you have any concerns or questions. Actually one of the nicest public pools I have ever been too!!! Great pricing for 10 to 30 visit deals and excellent senior prices that start at the age of 55...it is almost like swimming in fresh water...

Great pool. They have locker rooms - be sure to bring your own lock. If you are going regularly get on the mailing list since it has to close somewhat frequently (which is not uncommon for pools but they are a little more prone to issues than some other pools I have used). Also water temperature is good if you are actually swimming.

This pool is nostalgic for me, as I grew up with going to swim practice at an outdoor pool for years as a kid. Like all local landmarks this place has character like the friendly staff, classic concrete pool area and locker rooms, hot showers, quality lockers, and the pool is heated! I see no major flaws. It's an older pool! (Not sure why the other reviewers are giving Temescal Pool one star. This isn't a brand new facility, and I'm pretty sure everyone that enjoys this pool knows that.) I bought a 30 swim pass and I aim to use every one. Thank you, Temescal Pool!

It's a pool. Unfortunately, it's run down and in need of a serious overhaul. The staff is friendly but could care less about the condition of the place. The deck is strewn with melted candy and gravel. Hardly a surface you'd want to walk on with bare feet. The paint is peeling, mold abounds and the showers are from four centuries ago. The "tall" shower nozzle's water hit by stomach and the low showers hit my crotch. No joke. I've volunteered to power wash the candy off the deck numerous time with my own power washer and was laughed at, multiple times. There's dirt and debris all over the locker room so when you get out if the shower your feet are immediately filthy. I eventually left and joined a gym with a pool (for less money) when the pool became so cloudy I couldn't see more than fifteen feet in front of me. I still can't understand how they can't find money to invest in the place. My gym costs less, has all the amenities like amazing showers, hot tubs, sauna, steam room, weights, cardio equipment, towels, classes of every type and smells like cleaner all day everyday for less money. Really disappointing, the place has so much potential. Plus, when I was younger it was better kept up.

No. Street parking only.
I've noticed mornings are less crowded, and weekdays... But it's not always like that
Kids are welcome only during open swim hours. This is a serious lap swimming pool during lap swim hours.
They do have lessons there i believe for all ages. Not sure the cost i would suggest checking online or getting a parks and rec summer magazine to get prices.
not at temescal, we have aerobics class at East Oakland Sports Center. We also have tri-fit offered at Lions and Defremery which is a slightly more intense exercise on a water bike in the water as well as other water exercises.
$6 per visit or you can get 10 and 30-swim passes at a discount
