Our hunt for a great local, Mexican restaurant near Brea continues. El Farolito didn't tick all the check boxes. Nice service, good people, seems popular with the locals but we felt that the food was mediocre. Salsa tasted like it was made from canned tomato sauce. Chips were fresh. Pork was fresh but seemed just a bit overcooked. We came with great expectations but fell short.

Hands down my favorite enchiladas in OC. The rice is light and fluffy, beans are creamy and flavorful. Sauce and tortilla are perfectly cooked. Salsa has a nice kick to them. I just ate here the other day and I’m craving for them already. Service is fast and friendly. The margaritas are refreshing but on the light side of alcohol. There is always a wait. It’s a local spot and people from the neighborhood are always there. My best friend moved to Westminster/Huntington Beach area and still come here for enchiladas.

Everything is homemade. Their salsa definitely has a kick but it’s incredible. My favorite is the green sauce over red but both are incredible. The asada burritos is finely chopped tender steak. The Flautas are FILLED with meat and again homemade and so delicious! The way their cheese is melted is so yummy and just one of my favorite Mexican spots! You can always count on nothing but the best every time you come. Worth the wait if you don’t have a reservation!

LOVED IT here!! I don't know maybe just me, but you can tell it's legit right when you walk in. I ordered the cinnamon coffee, chicken quesadilla (my friend's order across from me in the photo was the breakfast enchiladas), and a "cup" (small bowl) of menudo. The cinnamon coffee wasn't sweetened but it didn't need to be -- it wasn't bitter at all, and the cinnamon wasn't overpowering either. The chicken quesadilla was a bit oily but otherwise quite good. Now. This was my first time trying menudo (purely due to not knowing it existed until recently, forgive me) so maybe I don't know better or worse but. This. This is the one, y'all. This stuff is SO, SO GOOD. If you're like me and love squishy things like tripe, which is in it, you'll love this too! I haven't been this blissed out on a single dish in a long time and I am a picky eater. PLEASE for your own good try it!! Will be back with my family for sure!!

Yes
Indeed
Yes, but is not good. But the green enchiladas are bomb. For pozole try better tacos escalante.
Keep calling. They are there. It took me many tries last Sunday but I got thru and it was worth the effort.
No, but a standard burrito of different contents they have.
Yes they are, I went last week
IMO, this place is so good and popular, they don't need one! I recommend you call and share what you find out.
