Lot's of people criticized and left bad reviews about this facility and I understand and respect their opinions. But all these negative reviews need to be update it! My Mom and Dad are staying at the Buena Park Nursing Center and they are very happy. All the staffs that I spoke are very professionals and super friendly. My Mom and Dad are enjoying the foods because they can chose American and Korean cuisine.

Hands down the WORST medical facility that I have seen outside of the 3rd world. My poor 83 y.o. father came out worse than he was prior to being admitted. He acquired Covid there. I could not visit him for 3 weeks out of the 6 across his stay. He got an infection there and lost 20 pounds. Most of the staff seemed to be on their phones all of the time and were defensive when asked a question. They misplaced my father's clothes, his eyeglasses, his shoes. They even messed up with his actual departure time. The doctors were condescending and removed. I would not wish BPNC on my worst enemy. Run away FAST from this place if you love the person who you are thinking of having a stay here.

My father was sent here by his case worker 5 days after having a stroke. The place smelled bad, looked like a 3rd world clinic, and was 95% elderly patients. We did not want to leave him alone here and were allowed to stay almost the first 2 days but then we were met with the ridiculous 45 minute only one at a time visiting period policy. We spoke to the director, administrators, and doctor expressing great discomfort about leaving him there alone to no avail. The next day when we get there his bed is all the way up with the remote on the ground, even though he was a fall risk, and his blood sugar is high because they had neglected to give him water and gave him food that was bad for his kidney failure. We finally get a room at a better facility and 30 seconds after we arrive the staff there diagnose him with pneumonia and he is rushed back to the hospital. This is absolutely neglectful and this facility deserves to be shut down. I don’t know who created the 45 minute policy but it is criminal to keep a family away from their loved one like this. He is not some old guy roaming about the halls. He is a stroke victim with diabetes, stage 4 cancer, and kidney failure. The care they provided and their unwillingness to let us take care of him disgusts me. I do not recommend ANYONE come here if you actually care about your love one’s well being and safety.

My mom is a very old Korean lady who doesn't speak a single English word. She fell on a very hard floor because of her chronic heart disease. She got injured very seriously. After spending 3 months in the hospital, she came here to Buena Park Nursing Center. During the 3 months when she was in the hospital, I wasn't able to see my mom the entire time because of the hospital's visitor policy during COVID 19 so couldn't take care of her as I wanted. So when she moved to BP Nursing Center, I really wanted her to be taken care of very well, and staffs at BPNC fulfilled my need. On top of everything, my mom got so much better in general. When she was in the hospital, she couldn't even do basic things and her cognitive function was poor. After spending some time at BPNC, she almost fully returned to her normal condition. Small requests from my mom (like turning the TV on or making phone calls to me, etc) are done very quickly by the Korean activity coordinators. Even on their day-offs, they always answered my miscellaneous questions via text message very kindly. This became one of the reasons I got to trust BPNC even more firmly.
