I was referred to this treatment center by a colleague. The intake supervisor was extremely rude and condescending. He seems to have a power complex. I was nothing but professional and kind although he was nasty towards me. We arrived at 9:45am and waited for 2 hours for him to decide the client being brought in wasn’t a good fit. He did not provide this information to myself or the client but sent someone to share his decision. The client had a medication that was used to treat another issue and he assumed he knew about because he’s a diabetic. We explained to him that our client was not diabetic. The company basically gave us the run around and wasted our time when they knew it was a no from the beginning. I apologized for errors that were made and said I understood and he told me if I understood it would have happened. Just rude and nasty so if they treat people like this then how are they of service to the substance abuse population that is in need?

I did 98 days in TTC and i am so grateful! For the staff and counselors for there role in my recovery without there support i would've made it. I would like to thank Mr. Jay for all of his help in changing my way of thinking and allowing me to have a different outlook on life i would also like to thank Mr. Devin for giving me the tools so i can live my best life. That's what I'm talking about.

I stayed 3 months. Some great counselors and classes, that's the good part. Beyond that it's sort of mayhem. Fights and brawls breaking out, drugs on the facility, people getting into relationships and having sex in the gym, linen closet or bathrooms. But if you want to test your abilities to cope, this is a great place to do it. The staff are stretched thin so its impossible to get phonecalls to find housing and stuff like that, and the chaos affects them too to the point while I was there 4 out of 6 quit! I'm not saying don't do it, I'm saying take a big book to read, get a sponsor before you go in, keep your head down and stay out of the drama.

DOES MEDICATION WORK FOR CRACK COCAINE ALSO

KELLY BEERS | Aug 22, 2018

Thank you for your question. There is no medication for crack cocaine that is similar to those that combat cravings for opioids and alcohol. The withdrawals and cravings are different for cocaine. The physical effects leave the body very soon after last use, and cravings aren't as big of a factor for relapse. At TTC, counseling is the focus for all drugs of choice, paired with medication or not. And counseling is still the best tool to prevent cocaine relapse in the early days of recovery.

Do you get to choose co-ed or not?

Your admissions counselor can give you a list of items that you can bring into residential treatment. The official list changes on occasion, so posting it here might mislead future clients and we don't want to do that. Use common sense and pack what you need. Note that TTC makes some toiletries available to our clients, and we have laundry facilities on site. Also, if someone comes with you to your admission appointment, your counselor will let them take with them anything that isn't allowed. Of course, drugs, contraband, and weapons are not allowed.
