A nice short hike for about 1.6 miles, with a steep staircase and many outdoor Fitcore exercise stations, as well as benches to rest or enjoy the view! The trail is clean and peaceful. We saw kids fishing in that tiny stream😲 There’s a big shaded kids play ground, with handicapped ramp access👍👍👍 Looks like you do need to call Diamond Bar Parks & Recreation to reserve use of park benches based on the posted sign that they sanitize & clean the areas👍 Love their solar powered trash compact station.

Short trail well maintained with clear open vistas of the San Gabriel Mountains. Good workout units along the trail including pull bars. Kid-friendly with supervision.

Questions & Answers

Does the small creek and swing still remain? Last time I was at this park was during middle school with old class mates. Good memories...1995.

The creek is still there. Depending on where you recall the swing being, it might still be there. I've never seen one. Keep in mind entrance from Diamond Bar Blvd is closed.

Yes

Are there entrance fee to enter the area

Matt Sklar | Aug 21, 2021

No. No parking fee or otherwise. The parking lot is two levels but once it's full that's it. If your going for the hike you can park at the parking lot at the top of the trail as the bottom of the trail has the park and playground so it tends to be busier.

Can I hike at night

The gate closes at 8 pm or sunset. So you would have to walk in.

Can I hope at night

You would probably need a headlamp and a hand held flashlight.
