Totally overrated!! I don’t know if I caught them on a bad day but this was my first time trying them as everyone hyped up this place but to be honest the tacos meat was burnt to where you couldn’t recognize what you were eating and it had a funky after taste. Never again, save your money and skip it.

Rated as one of the ten best Mexican meals in the USA in the book Taco USA by Gustavo Arellano, Chico’s always satisfies. The green chili sauce seems a new addition, and it’s great. Only in El Paso!

Dining area is big and comfortable. Lots of people, seems to be a popluar spot., fast service, wait is nothing but a couple of minutes (faster than McDonald's 😉) we had the Chicos Taco. Taco could have used more seasonings but it was doable, sauce could have had more seasonings as well, it tasted watered down. Bathroom was clean and quiet...you couldn't hear the music or anyone in the restaurant from the bathroom. Green sauce was fire, meaning it was perfecto. The price was pretty great. Again, cheaper than McDonald's and food is healthier than McDonald's LOL sorry McDonald's for the comparison but it is what it is😂😂😂 I love McDonald's as much as my kids do so theres enough love for everyone😉😂 These pics I took doesnt give it justice.... as we already started eating before I remembered I wanted pics lol

Chico's, as I was told, is a staple of El Paso and despite many warnings (that my stomach would implode upon itself and that I'd "rue the day I ever set foot in there"), I enjoyed it. I ordered a "Single w/ fries" and after about 8.5 minutes, my food was on the table. They gave me a few sides of the green chile sauce and it was spicy, but a little bland. It was mentioned that the true El Pasoan way, is to mix the ketchup with the chile sauce so that's a what I did. I also dipped my fries in the leftover juices from the flautas, which gave them a bit more flavor. One thing that you should be aware of if you go to Chico's, is that they ONLY take cash. So make sure you bring a few bills with you. All in all, Chico's is a decent place to eat and while it may not have intense flavor, it's a great meal at a great price.

Yes ,you can but only one person in line to order, hopefully yo know what you want.
For as long as I can remember, the chili beans have always had ground beef.
Before covid yes but we haven't been able to get them to answer the phone lately so we just have to order there.
They only allow 1 person to order, the rest find a seat need mask and security will open door going in and out. Seats are closed off every other seat
